The Muslim community is collaborating with the RCMP and Transit Police forces in the Lower Mainland to raise awareness for personal safety, risk mitigation and emergency response.
This outreach campaign is an important step to start addressing increase in hate crimes targeting Muslim.

Why and how to report Hate Crimes as soon as they occur.
Encouraging Muslims to communicate with RCMP without concern or reservation (anonymously if requested).
Instances of Hate Crimes occurring on transit buses, trains or at bus stops.
Vulnerability of Muslim women
Awareness of surroundings
Identification of potential or real personal risk
Actions to mitigate risk
Getting help – contacting emergency responders

Upon being Transit Police know when and where a problem is happening in real time so they can send their officers directly.
